The Metal Prototype Built from Emotional Data
The Metal TB traces back to an abandoned research initiative known as Project A1008. The project aimed to embed “human emotional data” into metal objects, granting them warmth, softness, and perceptible emotional echoes. After the project was deemed “impractical,” all prototypes were destroyed—except one.
That surviving prototype is now the Metal TB. Its rounded form wasn’t designed for cuteness but to maximize the flow of emotional waves. The metal was polished manually at ultra‑high frequency so each curve could store and reflect subtle tactile signals. When it lights up, the glow doesn’t just illuminate the room; it is responding to pressure and temperature shifts in the environment—a remnant of its original “soothing function.” Because the project ended prematurely, we may never know whether it truly “feels.” But everyone who encounters it says the same thing: it feels like it is quietly listening.
